After One Year Of Sleeping In Tent, Boy Finds It Hard To Sleep In Own Bed

A 16-year old boy who slept for the whole of 2007 in a tent in his garden just to raise $5,000 claims he now finds it hard to sleep in his own bed.

Steve Young, of Borough Green, Kent said after spending a year in his tent, he was longing for a nice warm bed but now that he's back in his old bed, he just cannot get to sleep.

"I wasn't used to the extra comfort," said Steve after experiencing subzero temperatures and waking up to snow in his "one-year ordeal."

Steve claims he just wanted to go a step further from his fellow scouts who took turns sleeping in a tent.

"Why between us? I could do it on my own," he said.
